Clinical Skin Needling
Also known as collagen induction therapy, skin needling uses a medical-grade device to create microscopic channels in the skin — triggering your body's natural repair process to build new collagen and elastin from within. One of the most effective treatments available for long-term skin improvement.
HOW IT WORKS
What happens beneath the skin
Understanding the mechanism behind skin needling helps explain why it produces results that surface-only treatments cannot. The key is controlled depth — needles penetrate past the epidermis into the dermis, where collagen lives.

THE SKINS RESPONSE
Three phases of repair
Phase 1 — Inflammation
Immediately post-treatment, the skin triggers an inflammatory response. Blood flow increases, growth factors are released, and the repair process begins. This is why the skin appears red for 24–48 hours — it is working.
Phase 2 — Proliferation
Over days 2–4, fibroblast cells produce new collagen and elastin. The micro-channels close. The skin begins to look and feel smoother and more supple as new structural proteins form beneath the surface.
Phase 3 — Remodelling
Over weeks and months, the new collagen matures and organises into a denser, stronger skin matrix. This is the phase where the most visible, lasting improvements occur — and why results continue to improve for up to 6 months after treatment.
*** Because results depend on the body's collagen synthesis cycle — which takes weeks to complete — a single needling session will produce some improvement, but a series of treatments compounds the effect significantly. Each session builds on the last.

RECOMMENDED PROGRAM
How many treatments will I need?
-
General skin rejuvenation: A series of 4–6 treatments at 4–6 weekly intervals is recommended to build progressive collagen responses that compound over time.
-
Acne scarring or significant sun damage: May require 6 or more treatments depending on the depth and severity of concern. Samantha will advise at your initial consultation.
-
Neck, décolletage, or hands: These areas have thinner skin and typically benefit from a tailored needle depth and series — additional to a facial program or as a standalone focus.
-
Maintenance: Following a full course, one treatment every 6–12 months helps maintain skin health, collagen density, and results long-term.
